Oaks exists to equip the local church to be a rehabilitative and resilient community for people in the healing process.

Isaiah 61:3-4

3 They will be called oaks of righteousness,
    a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor

4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins
    and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.

What we do.

  • Equip people to engage with their own healing process with God.
  • Prepare and provide pathways for rehabilitative relationships within local churches through ministry structure, practices, advocates and support groups.
  • Equip the church with biblical clarity on psychological issues through training and content.
  • Cultivate collaboration and unity between churches and healing professionals in the community.

Peer Support Connections

Advocates

Oaks Advocate connections are one-on-one connections with the purpose of providing support, encouragement, and accountability for the healing process. Advocates partner with participants in their healing as they integrate their healing into their faith, life, and relationships. Advocates are trained volunteers, supervised by Oaks Staff, with similar life experiences and who are a few steps ahead in the healing process.

Groups

Oaks Groups are designed to be relational environments for people to discover what it looks like to engage in their process of healing with God and others, addressing specific needs and questions such as grief and loss, trauma and abuse, substance use, compulsive behaviors, body image, disability, and more.

Restorative Prayer

Restorative Prayer Sessions are guided prayer sessions aiming to address the root of issues hindering personal connection with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. A Restorative Prayer Session may last approximately an hour-and-a-half to two hours and is facilitated by two trained volunteers. The restorative prayer process may include asking God to highlight areas where you are believing something that is not true about his character or ways, where you might have first learned to believe this, and asking God what truth he has for you instead. In short, our hope and purpose is to facilitate a time for people to experience God and his clarity, truth, and healing through prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit.
