Oaks exists to equip the local church to be a rehabilitative and resilient community for people in the healing process.

Isaiah 61:3-4

3 They will be called oaks of righteousness,
    a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor

4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins
    and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.

What we do.

  • Equip people to engage with their own healing process with God.
  • Prepare and provide pathways for rehabilitative relationships within local churches through ministry structure, practices, advocates and support groups.
  • Equip the church with biblical clarity on psychological issues through training and content.
  • Cultivate collaboration and unity between churches and healing professionals in the community.

Get Connected.

  • Oaks advocate (one-on-one) connections and Oaks groups are relational and spiritual environments for people to discover what it looks like to walk with Jesus through specific psychological needs in a peer support environment. Through Oaks advocates and group connections, you will gain tools to empower you, relational support, and biblical clarity for psychological issues as we learn to walk with Jesus in the process of healing as part of our faith. Click the Get Support Button at the bottom of this section, and we’ll be in touch with next steps!

  • The two main pathways for support within Oaks are one-on-one advocate connections and groups.

Advocate connections are one-on-one relationships formed with the goal of providing support, encouragement, and accountability for the healing process. Advocates are trained volunteers, supervised by Oaks staff, usually who are a few steps ahead in their healing process themselves. Advocates partner with care receivers in their healing process to walk with them as they apply and integrate healing to their faith, life, and relationships.

Oaks Groups are designed to be a relational environment for people to discover what it looks like to engage in the healing process as part of their faith alongside others with similar experiences. Groups consider how to walk with Jesus through specific psychological needs and questions. For more information about groups, click here.

  • Oaks advocates and groups provide a ministry of presence and support for others in the healing process.

Advocates provide emotional and relational support during a particular time of need through ministry of presence, understanding of similar experiences, modeling the healing process, and spiritual counsel for integrating faith and healing.

Group facilitators provide a relational environment for people to discover what it looks like to walk with Jesus through specific psychological needs alongside others with similar experiences, and among facilitators who are a few steps ahead in the healing process or trained in a particular area.
